Douglas John Children's Music

Douglas John brings a wonderful talent to the world of children's entertainment, both as a performer and as a songwriter.

 

As a celebrated children's performer, he has been entertaining families across Canada for more than 10 years, with concerts, radio and television appearances and on the educational front, the Rainbow Songwriting Workshop for primary grades.

 

Douglas' first album RAINBOWS was produced by the legendary Ken Whiteley of Raffi fame. RAINBOWS features 15 toe-tapping original songs. It is a joyful celebration of the child's imagination that will have the whole family singing along! A wonderful collection of images and melodies, including quiet moments "Be I" and "Star in your eye", and just-for-fun up-tempo numbers like "The wiggle" and "Ug-abug", featured on the Ants In Your Pants TV show (www.treehousetv.com). Care for the earth and the environment are lovingly expressed in "Plant the seed", and recycling takes centre stage in "Let's Imagine together". "Golden rule" encourages good relations between friends and everyone can feel inspired by "Wonderful world".

 

Douglas' latest CD TICKADEEBOO features 15 new hits, full of fun, inspiration and comfort. Like a new day, the album starts with an upbeat "Another Day Begins" (Sunshine, sunshine pouring in, can't wait to open my eyes again!) and ends with a beautiful lullaby "Sleep Tight" (Sleep tight, til the morning light...sleep tight, all through the night). I know a word that's fun to say... I like to say it every day, It cheers me up when I'm feelng blue...Tick-a-dee, Tick-a-dee, Tickadeeboo!
